I believe that corn is a grain.

I'm not sure on which foods you are intollerant of. Are you saying all grains except for popcorn and grits? Just want to make sure that I updated the list correctly.

Yes I meant the ONLY grains I eat are in popcorn and rice... I don't eat corn per se... just popcorn and grits.

Hi Mike,

Elimination: dairy, gluten, sulfites (wine/beer, potato chips, frozen potatos, potato flour, coconut, marachino cherries, fried fruit)
Avoidance: eggs, beans

This sounds so extreme I have to add that I eat a lot of things, just in their unprocessed form: potatoes, corn, citrus fruits, meat that's not adulterated, fruit , tapioca. . .

foods to which I have a delayed reaction

Post by Lucy »

1) Gluten (responded to elimination, later verified with stool test)

2) Casein (main protein from cow's milk, therefore in derivatives)

3) Egg whites (ovalbumin protein, specifically)

4) Brewer's/Baker's yeast

5) Soy (probable though not yet verified by available stool test.

I've updated the list; we have 8 folks who contributed so far. Anyone else care to submit their problem foods? Or even questionable items?

 Mike!

I'm with Karen, don't know exactly how you want this done but here is my 2 cents worth:

Raw veggies give me gas, bloating and D, especially cabbage

Gluten sensitive (I believe - in the beginning stages of diet trial) Notice a difference in the cramps, aches and "all-around-not-feeling-good feeling that you can't pin-point what is wrong.

Excess of milk products cause gas and cramping (small amounts are tolerated)

Some fruits - water based (most mellons, grapes if I eat alot, citrus in large quantities)

Not sure if this makes sense but those are my trigger foods.
