Hi Lesley,
Sorry you are feeling badly. I found the endoscopy in and of itself to be pretty taxing. I think your diet is stellar and also think your supplement list is stellar....i.e. taking things for specific issues but nothing extra.
My only comment would be re: the L Glutamine. I think most of those taking it are taking it in a powder form that you stir into your water. Maybe the pill is just "too much."
I've found with the fatigue that it will come and go for no reason and as the gut heals I seem to get less fatigue. My diet is still pretty routine and then I'll get a day of particularly bad fatigue that just comes out of nowhere. I'm guessing for me some of the neurological issues are "a cycle of the disease" and I"m finding that as I heal I'm cycling into fatigue less.

so sorry Lesley that nothing seems to be working for you right now :(
I too watch A LOT of movies. I loved Midnight in Paris also. Very clever. I just saw Salmon Fishing in the Yemen. It is a simple movie, but very enjoyable. I end up having to see "guy movies also" because of my husband. he brought me to see Cabin in the Woods yesterday. I enjoy a scary movie now and again. This one was crazy... like being on a ride... but soooo bloody! Over the top gore. yuck!

I admire you ladies who can stay productive with this disease. I am so fatigued that I sleep a lot and all I can do somedays is watch movies or TV shows. I spent the past two weekends on the couch watching Downton Abbey. Very good show by the way. Free Mr Bates!
I find it a challenge to keep my internal dialogue positive somedays. ie "My body is telling me to rest and take it easy" vs "I should be mopping the floor right now."
Lesley - I am new to all of this and don't have any good ideas for you but am sending healing thoughts your way. Hope you get some relief soon.

One thing I forgot to mention - I also love to grow plants. I have a small balcony where a lot of beautiful plants are growing. Tomatoes, that will go to my son and friends, herbs with which I make small bottles of decorative, delicious olive oil to give to friends and neighbors - good gift idea. The colors give me pleasure.
Kristin - the fact that the balcony is a mess, as is my house, will tell you that I am way too tired to deal with it right now/ It's just there and growing in the lovely sunshine after the storms we just had.
Downton Abbey - wonderful series! I can't wait for season 3, though too many good series are starting or continuing on Sunday nights. I can't watch or record them all so I will have to figure out which are the best.
I am not a veteran at this either. I am still struggling to find my way. I am SO tired lately I can barely sit up!
Leah - I haven't seen the Salmon Fishing one. I will have to look for it.
Brandy - the level of fatigue I am experiencing now tells me there is damage going on. Something is causing a reaction, but I don't know what it is. I am feeling almost worse than I was at the beginning. I don't know what else to do. I think I will go to mashed potatoes flavored with stock and nothing else for a day or 2 and see what happens from there.
I was taking the L-Glutamine in powder form. It didn't seem to make much difference. I am not taking it right now. I am trying to figure out what is doing the damage.
Jenny - Zyrtec Fastmelts are lactose-free.
Thank you everybody for our input and support. Now I am going to have to lie down and stare at the TV.

Lesley I know what you mean by the fatigue, it can be debilitating at times. As I read through your posts, I can see your struggling with finding a good range of ingredients. Is it possible that part of you fatigue is due to a nutritional deficiency? Possibly working with a nutrishionist would be helpful. I know as I work with my nutrishionist in relation to the MRT testing she spotted several areas of concern and I did adjust my diet, added supplements and we had my PCP order up some blood tests for a few differrent vitamin and mineral levels.
I also find that I go through times that my diet is stable that I am fatigued for no apparent reason.
This really is at times a learning and adjustment process. What was normal before has changed and I have had to change my expectations and hobbies to accommodate the 'new normal'
Take care

i too used to grow lots of salad veges etc, post MC it is mostly flowers and a few of the veges i can tolerate (i am growing parsnips and asparagus at the moment)
i built and created a flower garden with some rosemary as well, that i look at outside my kitchen window, it has lots of colour like marigolds, violia's, pansys, gardenia's and lots of other plants.
The passionfruit vine from the neighbours has been growing over the fence and i have been nuturing it to create a wonderful backdrop to the rest of my garden.
the passionfruit flowers are one of the many that i photograph...

Gabes -I grew up with passion fruit! I love it and cannot understand why it isn't grown here. Buying one fruit in the market is super expensive.
The vine is super beautiful. It must look wonderful in your garden.
My balcony is small. I wish I had more room. I LOVE parsnips, but haven't tried them yet.
I have geraniums and pansies, hollyhocks, bougainvillea and hydrangea for color. And a fern, grown from a stick, which I call Audrey 2. It's HUGE and getting bigger all the time. Some plants need changing and updating. I think I will grow other stuff, whatever can grow in pots.
I have some nasturtium seed that I want to grow. I love them. The leaves are so cool looking!
I would LOVE to have a bigger balcony, or a small garden!
Joe - between the MRT and the enterolab results, histamine loaded foods, and the ones to which I seen to react, my choices are very, very limited. And I seem to keep losing things. It's really difficult.
I did have a nutritionist but, frankly, she knew NOTHING about the illness, and didn't help me at all. At the moment I am at a bit of a loss. I can't find much to eat that I can tolerate. I wish I could find more.
