Attn Lesley - Coathanger photos
the chinese brocade range
Kids Range
mixture of other styles
this one is rubber based 'dance costume' stuff that i put over cheap offcuts and throw outs
these are the first of the ones for communion dress and christening gown.. still a bit of work in progress at the moment as i decide what looks best
i will let the 8 year old pick which one she wants from the 3 - 4 that i will do

Gabes, these are terrific. I can see how they would be therapeutic too on a day when you aren't feeling so great. What could be better?
thanks for sharing them.

Lesley,
Glad to hear you have been getting into the drawing and using the creative brain cells! what are you drawing? with spring blooming i am sure there is lots of inspiration.
i pad them with craft wadding, (like they use for quilts etc) that is the the 'easy' sewing that i can do if i am not too well or i am tired, as i just tack the wadding on. quite often i have lots made with the padding waiting for the fabric to go on. They are great 'on the couch' craft, that doesnt take much concentration or detail, you can stop anytime and not touch it again for a week or a month and it doesnt matter.
i keep an eye out for the discount days at the fabric/craft warehouses (there are two of different ownership in my area) and buy the wadding and the coathanger frames when they are 20% or 30% off. to make 3 coathangers costs me about $10 - same price as a small box of decent brand chocolates, my friends prefer the gabes 'made with love' gifts far more than a box of chocolates.
Kristine - i too love the rosette fabric, it is no longer available so i cant that style anymore. I almost forget to keep one for myself! To take that photo i had to dig through the wardrobe to find it.
Brandy - my gal pals LOVE them!! no more tops/jumpers with dents in the shoulders.
Mary/Carol - pre MC i was more of a tomboy outdoors camping type than a craft type. i started these just after moving when i found some unused fabric and wanted more padded coathangers for myself, when i realised how much i enjoyed it, and it was the perfect activity for the days i need to do some couch rest to restore my energies.
one of my friends her daughter has some of the kids ones, and she didnt want to put her good dresses on them, she has her school uniforms on them so that she can look at them every day... ....
if postage to the states was not so expensive i would send you all some!

I just finished a drawing of boats on the marina. I will probably do several versions. I spent about 2 weeks drawing sunflowers. I wanted to figure them out.
Pastels is a new medium for me. I am trying to get a handle on it.
I can't do a lot at a time. I get too tired. If I have to go out, and/or I go to the pool I am too tired to draw. But when I can it's fun.
Postage is prohibitive. I wanted to send my new grandson some baby things I got. The postage was 3 times the cost of the clothes. I guess no more packages from grandma )-;

Photographing sunflowers is one of my favourite pastimes!!
i managed to get a couple of good shots about 4 weeks on one of the last fields i could find. The growing area is about 20 - 30 mins drive from my house
