When I couldn't do much of anything else, I created a website of articles aimed towards people who adopted retired racing greyhounds. It turned out to be quite popular so I feel like I'm being productive even on my bad days.

Gabes,
It's too bad you can't find the rosette fabric locally. I often order fabric online from Fabric Empire (http://www.fabricempire.com/). I did a quick search and they do carry many rosette fabrics but at $12 to $15 a yard it is probably a bit expensive for your project. But, who knows, maybe they would negotiate with you for remnants and scrips and scraps. It's worth a shot. They ship from Los Angeles so again it's another cost to add unless you can negotiate that too.

Oh and I meant to say that the communion / christening hangers are just precious.

Barbara - I will send you an email to discuss 'the deal' and the logistics....

Kristine - searching on the net is a great idea,
$12 - $15 is not that much more than what i pay for the 'special fabrics'. the chinese brocades on 20% off days costs me $8.
I paid about $20 a yard for the bridal satin to make the communion/christening hangers (i didnt mind as they are for some very special girls) i only got just over half a yard in width, and full price the fabric was $30 a yard ( i went on 30% off day)
i will search the net for aussie sites selling fabric and see how i go.

mmmm as i type this, i wonder if there is fabric with toilets on it!! i could make a PP collection he he he :flush:

mzh - i love your rest day therapy - well done, i am impressed!!! i am on the computer all day at work, so for me, the sewing was/is a great hobby away from the computer....

it is these elements in my life that would not have occured unless MC came along, MC coming into your life can bring many unexpected gifts and enhancements
