So, confusion reigns supreme on planet Lesley!

Post by Lesley »

I had my endoscopy 2 weeks ago. 2 days later I had a huge reaction - gurgles galore, deranged D, foolish fatigue and so on. This went on for about 3 days, then I got the slippery, formed pieces with mucous hanging off about 5 times a day for a few days, and then a week of C!
I was taking all the laxatives, stool softeners and the like I could lay my hands on, and decided, since I was overtaken by C anyway, to try real fresh eggs, bought at a farmer's market. Apart from being super delicious, they didn't seem to move me at all.
On Friday I had the affair of the implant, and went onto amoxyciline. I was especially grateful to eat a scrambled egg, since my mouth was too sore to manage much else.
By yesterday I felt like I was carrying around C the weight of a baby elephant, so I took even more of the usual laxatives etc.

Success! This morning a BM, but no Norman. One big one, but the feeling that there is a lot left. No gurgling, gas, or cramps. Just uncomfortable fullness.

So you see why I am so confused? What is causing what? Was it the eggs? The local anesthetic? The amoxycilin? The laxatives?
Why does the D stop and go onto a whole week of C? What do I do when that happens? Seems that I can never get to any healing with this wretched cycle.

Are you drinking enough fluids? D can rob you of fluids and throw you into a cycle of C, IMO.

I am Kristen. I have an electrolyte problem. I can't take in too much water because I have very low sodium, at times dangerously low. I have to watch it carefully. And I have a high BP problem so it's from all sides. I drink as much as I dare.
