Hi Gabes, thanks for asking. DD is doing fine. We are now totally off antihistamines and avoiding legumes, strawberries, citrus and watermelon. No more potty accidents, but the once daily poop is still loose. I'm making an appt with a nutritionist who specializes in kids with all sorts of problems. She can test for igg delayed food allergies, etc. if her regular allergist doesn't do it. She suggested all the antihistamines may have been supressing her reactions, so her allergies may not be so new. She also said there are supplements that can help "balance her immune system" as she comes off antihistamines.
Now I have to decide if I'll let DD get her 3 remaining vaccines before school starts. They are biggies -- MMR, DTaP and Varicella. If her immune system is overreactive, I don't want to take risks until we know more. I may see if the ped will file a medical exemption due to allergies. Otherwise I can file a religious exemption (I do anyway for missing Hep B series), and take my time with the final 3.
One day at a time... Now I'm off to enjoy my mothers day of solitude. That's right, I asked to be left alone today! Of course I'm going shopping for the house and kids. But shopping without kids in tow will be bliss! DD turns 5 tomorrow!!

Hi Zizzle,
I'm on a road trip - currently on Tybee Island (Savannah's beach), so I totally forgot about Mother's day. It sounds like you have a nice day planned for yourself. Strangely, I just opted out of going to the beach, preferring some "alone time" - then I came on here and saw your message :).
I seem to recall that last year's Mother's day was a bit of a rough time for you??? It's hard to believe that years are going by while we're battling MC - I think you and I came on here around the same time. I'm pretty much reconciled to the fact that MC will forever be part of my life, but it does get easier.
Glad to hear your DD is better - it must be so hard to deal wit her issues along with your own.
Love,
Kari
