My lab & DXA results from May 8
I am finally getting around to posting the results of my lab work done on May 8. I am pleased with the results.
Lipid Panel
Cholesterol 179 <200
LDL Cholesterol 83 <130
CHOL/HDL ratio 2.1 <4.5
Triglyceride 46 <150
VLDL 8 0-29
Non HDL 92 <160>20.0 >7.2
Vitamin D, 25 Hydroxy 80.2 30.1 to 100.0
TSH 0.13 (too low) 0.45 to 4.50
doctor has reduced my Levothyroxine to .75
On 2/22/2012 it was 0.36 (low) and dr increased the Levothyroxine to .88. No wonder I didn't feel up to par. Why? He didn’t know. But now he put my Levothyroxine dosage back to .75, that is what I had been on for several years. If it is not within range next time I will have him reduce it more.
My DXA scan says NORMAL with no significant change from August 2010. It’s difficult for me to interpret the actual report. So I will just have to believe that it is OK.

Now it put numbers after the Non HDL that weren't there before and deleted my Comprehensive Panel & Vitamin B12 & Folate.
I don't know what's going on.
Comprehensive Metabolic Panel
everything within normal limits
Vitamin B12 1367 (high) 243 to 894
I was way too high so I am eliminated my vitamin B complex
Folate >20.0 >7.2

Hi Charlotte,
The reason why you got some weird results is because you used symbols in your post (the "greater than" and "less than" symbols). The software that operates this discussion board is written in php code, and php code uses certain symbols and combinations of symbols to represent certain commands that tell the php interpreter built into all browsers to execute certain functions. That means that if a certain function is unintentionally executed, the text or data following that code will be misinterpreted (or ignored, or whatever, depending on what the coded command happened to involve). In general, dashes, equal signs and quotation marks are usually interpreted correctly, but symbols such as greater or less than, slashes, and a few others usually cause browser confusion. Even a question mark can represent code if it's used in the proper combination with certain other symbols (but by itself, it's OK).
Nice test results, by the way.
Tex

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Good thing you asked because I checked my supplements and see I am getting more than I realized.
I take two Vitamin D3 tablets 1000 i.u. each
There also is 500 i.u. in my multivitamin
and 800 i.u. in my Calcium Citrate
Living in Arizona gives me lots of sunshine when I swim, walk the dog, bike, or work in my garden.
I never use sunscreen. I tan very easy and never burn.
