Chris, I don't eat corn on the cob, but I can tolerate about two cups of unflavored popcorn. I regularly eat corn chips and have just started eating corn pasta. It's easier to work with than the rice pasta. The pop corners I was referring to are chips made from popcorn. they are delicious :) I also still take 3 mg of Entocort.

Christine, if you check out the Paleo discussion(s), you may discover you can still be low-carb even with your sensitivities.

They are called Popcorners. Their website has a tool to find local retailers:

Here's a lovely little video about corn production in the US, narrated by the author of "The Omnivore's Dilemma."

I didn't realize that Sam's Club carries Corn Poppers! I'll have to look at my local Sam's Club. I have noticed that the stores carry different merchandise, even in the same region. For example, I can buy canned turkey at one store near me, but not the other.Zizzle wrote:My Inlaws buy huge bags of them at Sam's Club
Thanks for the info, Zizzle.

Methinks it's a regional thing too. I'm always looking for G-F stuff at Sam's (and everywhere else I shop) and have never seen it there. Sam's and Costco both have wonderful G-F crackers. Walmart has increasingly larger sections of G-F products. Around here they're in the Quick Snacks section but they have cereals, rice and quinoa pasta and other mixes (bread, pizza, etc). Publix has an awesome corn pasta. Unlike the rice varieties, it doesn't melt if cooked a tad too long and has actual texture. We eat it al dente anyway so mushy pasta isn't an issue in our house.Gloria wrote:I didn't realize that Sam's Club carries Corn Poppers! I'll have to look at my local Sam's Club. We do like something I found at Ingle's called Original Tings. (The expected "h" is truly missing.) Very light, crunchy air-filled corn puffs things, also GF/DF. Publix and Ingles may be Southern chains.
