I seem to be having a little trouble still. There is often no thumbnail link. I got there once or twice but for the love of me I don't know how. Follow instructions and only get the url links for 'forums' 'webpages' etc. What am I going wrong. I registered and everything. Probably need to sit down and have a play with it.

You may not be doing anything wrong. For smaller image files, they may not provide a thumbnail option. I think I remember reading that somewhere in their FAQs, or somewhere.
