Hi Marg,
That's great news. I hope your progress continues. Though I'm sure there will be some bumps in the road to recovery, hopefully, they will be few and far between.
Thanks for the update, and yes, please keep us updated.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Great news Marg, that just shows what a powerful affect foods have on our health. As mentioned, there may be some bumps in the road, but you certainly have made great progress. Many of us once we eliminate the main offenders, other may show up in time. This is a good time to start keeping a food journal, this will help you spot patterns if symptoms start to reappear.
Congratulations on your decision to take control of your health!!

Marg
re the first part of the post
WOO HOO -
the second post is still worthy of a Woo Hoo as you are listening to your body and reducing, elminating items that are causing issues.
for me, with the couple of years of concentrated focus on healing, i have been able to re-introduce aged cheese to my eating plan without issues.
for quite a few of us, once we eliminated one major trigger, within a week or a few weeks another one raised its head, it can a bit disheartening, but hang in there, wellness is worth it!
take care

Marg, good for you. I reacted the same way and improved with diet alone, but I had to eliminate the big 4 ( eggs, soy, casein, glutin) in order to have consistent success. Gabes.....how long did you wait before introducing cheese? Aged cheese makes my mouth water but I'm hesitant to chance upsetting the delicate balance....

4 days and results already! Great news.
Sorry about the setback you had with the cheese. Like many others here, you may have intolerances to other foods. It sounds like your body improves quickly once you eliminate them. Hope things continue to improve for you.

Hi,
I am new to all this and keep on reading all the posts for encouragement and all your experiences, this really helps to get my head round it all, It does look like when you go GF the foods you are sensitive do rise their ugly heads, I will start a food journal as you suggest Joe which is a good idea, i dont feel to bad today and as we all know thats a bonus, but i am finding it difficult to think what to eat for variety so been looking at Dee,s recipes.
thanks again for your help and encouragement.
