Peg asked me to update the board on how her checkup went today. Here is what she sent me:
hey wayne,
can you pass this on please? just came from the specialists...the cast won't be coming off for another 3 weeks but it is healing well - the right wrist. i follow up with the neck guy again in two weeks - have to keep the brace on 24/7 for another 2 weeks then we'll see if i can start taking it off at night. i have to keep my shoulders back and my head up - i was mistakenly resting my chin in a little niche in the brace (cut specifically for a chin - go figure!?) and now need to correct that. i have to start trying to sleep as flat as i can where previously i was in a semi sitting position. maybe that'll help me get more than an hour or two sleep at a time, we'll see. i'll be off work for at least another 3 or 4 weeks.
i'm keeping a positive attitude and grateful it wasn't any worse. thanks to all for the cards they are cheering me up.
