Commonly used abbreviations

Post by Marsha »

I thought it was time to develop a vocabulary:

Please copy and paste with your additions, corrections, and historical facts, for the sake of posterity:

Norman = started by _________ as a mistyping of "normal". Norman has now become the standard for normal, pre-MC bowel movement. ie, 'Norman visited my house today'. He is notoriously fickle.

:arrow: Margie help!
Elvis= _____(photo) hurling, puking, barfing: calling for Elvis on the big white phone. Named because of the "lip thing" he has going on.

Mona Lisa = picture perfect frame-able poop

OMG = Oh My God

ROTFLMAO = Rolling on the floor laughing my ass off

:arrow: Wayne & Peggy help!
Bonk, or THE GAVEL = for political correctness and historical accuracy, equal time should be given for the the Republican (Wayne) explanation, and the Democratic (Peggy) rebuttal:
*R -
*D - this application in used on the rare occasion that Wayne requires a gentle reminder. He also has his own custom engraved gavel at home should he require self-administration.

IOW = in other words

IMHO = in my humble opinion

LOL = lots of laughs, or laugh out loud

BTW = by the way

TTYL = talk to ya later

FM = founding member of this website (all of US - YAY!)

MI = mutliply-intolerant

GF, DF, SF, CF, YF = (in order) gluten-free, dairy-free, soy-free, corn-free, yeast-free

Help somebody - - - - :arrow:
The different kinds of MC poops - battery acid, loosy goosy, bullets, soft-serve, and I forget the name of the one that looks fine until you flush and then it disappears into a cloud of dust (does anyone remember who named it - was it Dee?). I don't think any of these require further definition if you are an MCer! LOL!

D = diarrhea

All my best, friends, Marsha :wave:

"Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful." -- Buddha

More......

TTYL - talk to ya later

FM - founding member of this website (all of US - YAY!)

MI - mutliply-intolerant

GF, DF, SF, CF, YF, etc.

LOL! :wink:

D - diarrhea

D & D - HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! No, I don't think we want to list them!

Seriously, great idea! Should we list our abbreviations in the newbie room or under FAQs? BTW, it was Barbaranoela who called a normal BM Norman. Maybe Peg can find the original post on Sally's board and bring it here!

Love,

Polly

The origins of NORMAN:

It was BarbaraNoela's typo! We all saw it and collapsed laughing and it just stuck.

Thanks, again, Miss BN!
