UPDATE On LOUIE NOW!!!!

Post by barbaranoela »

The past few dayz have been plain miserable for both of us---arguing---snarling---short-tempered and the list goes on!!! ESPECIALLY that I still cant get the car into the garage!!!

Well we got to the hospital today @ 1PM---got home @ 8:15 PM
Mr. Louie is a very lucky man(once again) cus the STONE was much LARGER than any of the Cats/X-Rays showed~~~~~ and it was imbedded way up into the kidney and if he hadnt *P*'d blood --back in Aug.---telling them something was amiss,he could have lost the kidney!!!!

Dr. Latino looked :yikes: when she finally got to me and she was thinking of keeping him overnight~~~but other than feeling like a crappy camper---all his signs were stable and he is home---has a bag attached to the cathera stuck up U know where and tomorrow we have to get back to the office---have the bag removed ,along with the cathera. and then have the STINT put back in~~~~~~

He looks like crap---and I didnt know that with this particluar lazer blasting they lower his body temp,as they did with the by-pass, and he was shaking like a leaf---from the anesthesia and the body temp raising to normal~~~~~

I met some lovely people in the waiting room---that helped pass the time--

And now I dont know what to Xpect---
Matter of fact,my friend Carmela asked if Louie has ever complained of BACK PAIN---and by golly he has---for years---assuming it was from the disc surgery he had done-----but it could have been the STONE sending a message---yet wouldnt a blood work-up showed something!!!

So thats it---

Happy sleeping----Im off

Hi Barb

So glad Lou has finally gotten rid of his stone. I expect he will be pretty uncomfortable for a few days.

Isn't it lucky that they found it. You can imagine the pain he would have had if he had tried to pass it. :hyper: :yikes: :hyper:

Lets hope that he doesn't have anymore problems. I sympathise with him entirely. I know very well what fun a catheter can be.

Give him our love.

Yea for Louie. I'm so glad his stone is history. I think what you can expect is a rapid recovery. My husband was so relieved when his was gone. He hasn't eaten yogurt since, although it was probably in no way the culprit. He had been eating yogurt for lunch every day and someone told him the stone was made of calcium, and that was it. He puts only a drop of milk on his cold cereal!!! Definitely does not want another stone.

Did you get pictures? We got little round laser-blasting pictures. I think I put them in the photo album.

You sound pretty worn out Barbara. I hope you and Mr Louie can get some rest now. I'm sure you guys were only arguing because of nerves and stress, I hope you feel more like yourself soon. Love Oma :circle:

Oh boy Barb, Louie must be ouchie sore! I had to have a catheter in me for over a week when I had my hysterectomy and they had to do a bit more work regarding my bladder. Long story, short, having that thing in me was worse then the pain from the surgery! I almost pulled it out myself. Thank goodness they were able to get the stone before it caused more health issues. Its always hard on others around us though too, as when we get sick, sometimes we get cranky. I hope you get some time to rest and recover too. I just don't know how you have done it Barb? You have been tested enough, don't you think? Time for some good stuff to start happening for you.

Love you

Big Gentle hugs for you

Wendy
