Any Suggestions???

Post by kitty16 »

Hi,

I Have been watching what I eat, finding out what foods I react to. The doctor has me trying Questran, 2, 3 times a day. It has produced Normans but I'm still going 8 times a day.

I'm traveling at the end of the month flying to Florida to see my son, does anyone have a way reduce the number of times a day I go, (all meds such as predisone, entocort asacol have failed).. My answer has been to not eat or drink all day and even that does not always help.

I know this is the thing we are all hoping for any ideas are welcome.

Hugs,
K

When Entocort failed me, I quit drinking coffee. That made Entocort work real fast again - like the next day! Maybe some food or drink like that is causing your issues? Caffeine is notorious for causing poop problems, so I'd look to that first if you haven't already.

Thanks,

I dunno....

I was drinking one cup coffee in the AM before breakfast and it was doing a number on me. I'd have to run to the bathroom while eating my breakfast!

As long as you're not allergic to ragweed or on a blood thinner. Can you believe that? It was on Wikipedia!

I was drinking herbal teas like blueberry, raspberry, peach, orange spice and such and can vouch for them; they gave me no troubles. But some of these nice herbal teas have caffeine in them. One has to read the labels carefully if trying to avoid that.

And many herbal teas contain soy lecithin. As Joe would say, "SOY IS EVIL!"

I found straight peppermint tea worked well for me - it was soothing for my digestive system and had nothing I reacted to.

Another thing I read about chamomile is to crush the leaves; you get more benefit out of it that way. (What do I know; I never tried it. LOL)
