Back Frm Quebec

Post by Momster »

Hi Friends:

Just got back late Wednesday night and we had a wonderful time. The weather was beautiful except for one day of rain and one day in bed with a bad cold, but thank goodness the cold didn't last too long and by the next day I was up and about and spent lots of time touring around and enjoying the beautiful Fall colours. We went up Mont Tremblant on the sky ride and the view from the top was spectacular to say the least. I got some really beautiful pictures and will post some when I have more time. Yesterday was banking, unpacking and trying to get over the jet lag.

Peggy survived well while I was away, thanks to strong spirits and Ronny's good care, so I was happy about that. They are going to come for dinner on Monday, our Canadian Thanksgiving, but will have to take it VERY easy because it's her first trip out here and we don't want to tire her.

Anyway, running errands today, so will touch base later.

Take care all - you are always in my thoughts.

Love - Momster

Glad to have you back. The colors of fall must have been beautiful! We are just starting to see the colors change here, and they have a big old maple in the front yard that looks just amazing. Since we have so many trees here, when the leaves start to fall we are swamped in them. Great for filling up the Halloween bags for the lawns.

Today it has gotten cooler, mainly because it started to rain. But yesterday it was 26 C out when I went to my doctor appt. Which I didn't mind at all. The cold is not supposed to stay though, and we are back to very nice fall weather once again.

Anyway, glad to see you back with us.

I don't think Peg will mind going to your place since it includes a good home cooked meal. Bruce and I are going to have something Sunday I think, but there is no reason why we can't do it Monday either. We have scheduling problems with his car, his daughter has work and College now, and then her social life. Bruce swears its like being married, he has to ask if he can use the car first!!!

Welcome home. Glad you had fun and returned safe and sound!

Do you (Canadians) have the same menu that many Americans have for Thanksgiving? Turkey, cranberries, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, various greens (depending on the part of the country), pumpkin pie, etc?

Sure glad you'll be with Peg. Hope she makes the trip okay.

Welcome home Mom! Glad you had a good trip. The fall colors popped out here this week. We are having a warm fall so they are late in developing this year. I need to take pictures so I have some ideas for my quilt projects (like I've finished the ones I'm working on!). But the world really is a work of art.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. I will be having surgery two weeks before our thanksgiving, so may not be up to the big feast. Maybe I should make a pie this weekend in honor of our Canadian friends  .

Welcome back, Sis!!

I envy you seeing the colors. Our trees here are trying desperately to turn, but they just aren't the same as the Northeastern part of the continent.

I am very glad that you enjoyed yourself and only had one day off with the cold.

I need to ask you a question. Did you take your scooter with you?

Have a Happy Thanksgiving and give Peg a VERY gentle hug from me.

Lots of love,

Sis
