I bought raw shelled HEMP SEED at Costco yesterday (24 oz for 12.99) It says delicious nutty flavor, natural superfood, 11 grams of protein, gluten free. Use in smoothies, salads, dressings, yogart, cereal, muffins or pancakes.
I searched here on HEMP and all I come up with is reference to hemp milk. I searched several Paleo lists and Hemp seeds are not indicated. Has anyone tried HEMP SEEDS? I hate to open them if they are not allowable or people are reacting to them.

Charlotte,
I never tried the seeds, but I used to use hemp milk. It seemed to cause minor bloating (no other symptoms that I was aware of), so I switched to almond milk. I like the flavor of hemp milk better than almond milk (it's pretty rich stuff), but I couldn't find it locally, so I always had to order it.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

I just bought Organic Hemp Protein Powder from Trader Joe's to add to my morning smoothies and I LOVE IT! Great flavor and texture, and it's green! I'm on prednisone so I don't have D (in fact, right now it's PMS-C). I wonder how I'll tolerate it when I taper off. The protein powder is basically gorund up hemp seeds, much like this product:
