Feeling awful today.

Post by amberlink09 »

Hey guys, sorry about this but I just need to vent a little. I was doing better for a few days and thought my medication was helping, but then on tuesday things took a turn for the worse and now I feel awful! I'm only having diarrhea 3-4 times a day, mainly in the morning, yet I feel constipated and have urgency and really bad cramps the rest of the day and nothing happens. I just want to curl into a ball and lay in bed with a hot pad but I have way too much going on for that. I also don't even know what to take because I don't know if it's constipation or diarrhea or what. Anyone else ever have this problem?

Yes, I spent many, many days like that. On many occasions, I would manage to get to work (often late), but every hour or so, I would have to lie down for a while to allow the nausea to subside, or the dizziness or the gut pains to let up a little. Then I would work a little while until I had to lie down again. Those were some miserable years.

Are you still taking the Apriso?

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

That sounds terrible. Luckily I have a job where I'm allowed to work partially from home so I was able to leave early today. The pain is just so intense right now! Yes, I am still taking the apriso, and unfortunately my 'two week follow up' isn't for five weeks
