Bentyl (Dicyclomine)

Post by amberlink09 »

I called my GI in desperation yesterday because of the extreme pain I've been experiencing, and he just called me back saying he called in a prescription for dicyclomine. Has anyone taken this? I looked it up online and it said its supposed to stop the intestines from spasming.

I did. My GP, who is a fan of older medications, prescribed it to me. When my GI doc found out about it, he said to stop it; it has too many side effects. I found it did work though. But I'm sticking with Entocort.
Also have sleep apnea

I took it and my stomach pain was better within an hour. But, I also got pretty tired and I woke up with an awful headache that just won't go away, so I will probably only use it when thins get really bad, not on a regular basis.
