Hi
I cannot believe it took me so long to make this connection. Night before last I made a family favorite (Italian) zucchini, eggs and ONION. I only had a small amount (I was afraid of the zucchini). This resulted in a very bad day yesterday with severe D.
OMG this so explains why certain soups cause a reaction, also why I can eat a hamburger at my local diner but when I was down in florida and ordered one at a restaurant I had a reaction. I even commented on how seasoned it was.
Can anyone tell me if this is a clue to any other things to avoid is there anything in the same family as onions? Knowledge is power on this road to remission.

Quite a few of us have problems with onions while we are recovering. The good news is that after we heal, we can usually add them back into our diet. (At least I can tolerate them now, even though I couldn't back when I was still recovering). Along with onions, some of us have problems with garlic, also.
