please dont think I am suggesting ANYONE uses Pot but I have been thinking about how many meds I take, I used to smoke a lot of home grown weed, well for about 30 plus years then I developed Adenomyosis so had a hysterectomy and gave up the smoking, since then I am on antidepressants, medication for high blood pressure, statins, water pills, thyroxin, and endocort forL.C., yes I am aware some of those meds dont help the M.C., my point is that I felt fine using an illegal "drug" that I personally grew but in the last 12 years of being"clean" I have become a repositry of so many "legal" drugs which cost an arm and a leg!!!!!!! just seemed ironic!!! As in everything else, it's all about the government getting their share of tax money. It's illegal to own machine guns and silencers also, but all anyone has to do is pay a transfer tax and they can legally own all the machine guns and silencers they want. At least that's true in the U. S.

Personally, I've never touched any illegal drugs, and I don't recommend using them, but IMO hemp leaves are a far, far safer antidepressant (and much more effective) than any of the FDA-approved products sold by the pharmaceutical companies.

Alcohol is a much more dangerous "recreational drug" than hemp, but as long as users stay off the highways, and the government collects their tax money, the bureaucrats and politicians are happy campers.

That's just my opinion, FWIW,

As a former pot-smoker myself, and living in the land of medical marijuana, I confess that I have thought about it.

But not very hard. When I was smoking pot, everything was fine because I was much younger. Nothing had gone to pieces yet.

I have a very wide circle of friends and know many of their children and grandchildren. Some suffer with autoimmune diseases like Parkinson's, multiple sclerosis, and fibromyalgia. I know that their children and grandchildren will likely suffer with the same or similar diseases as they age, but it's hard to talk to them about it while they are enjoying their cake and ice cream now with no visible consequences.

Yep, unfortunately all drugs have consequences, whether legal or otherwise.

i don't think "pot" is covered on my medical plan :-) but even if it was free I would worry it could lead me back to smoking cigarettes. Gawd, nicotine was a hard drug to kick. I want to keep my lungs smoke-free, and my gut gluten-free. Mind you Beni, if someone were too tell me that pot cured their MC, I'd be outside hoeing and planting!

Confession time? Well, being from California, I have smoked pot on and off all my adult life. Since alcohol never sat very well in me, I have used it recreationally instead. When I feel nauseated, it still works to make me feel better. In this state now, less then an once is not even a misdemeanor any more. Even though you are not suppose to light up in public, it's done all the time here with little or no consequences.

You inhaled? LOL! I'm glad the laws have loosened up on pot because I feel it's a better, less harmful option than alcohol. That's what I conclude from personal experience in what I've seen in my friends who partake of these festivities.

Where are you, Leah?

I wish pot helped me. I have smoked it on and off before with friends, then with my kids when they became adults, but it never helped.
I try it every now and again, but it doesn't help pain or to relax me.
So many people around here use it all I have to do sometimes is to go out on the balcony and sniff.

I haven't smoked pot in decades but I really am baffled by the hardline stance some states have taken in not allowing it medically. If I had a condition that I thought it would help I would certainly try it before a lot of other drugs.

Lol. I have an uncle in California (undisclosed location). He was a 1960s hippie. Some of you pot buyers may know him.

He's the reason I only tried it a few times when I was younger. He is hopelessly addicted. He smokes every hour around the clock. Can't eat or sleep without it. But if it cured MC...I'd know exactly where to go!

I love you guys! As an old hippie I did my fair share of illegal drugs, unfortunately after doing too many hallucinatory drugs, I became paranoid every time I did pot.

What the hey, is what I say...give it a whirl. Better than alcohol I would think. IMO. And if you can't afford all the legal drugs, pot seems like an option to me.

Medical Marijuana has been approved in Arizona but I don't know if they have given the authorization to special places to sell it. Since I'm not interested in it I haven't really paid attention.
