Polly's colonoscopy?????

Post by Lucy »

Hi Polly,

Have ya done it yet? Are you going to tell us if your M.C.'s gone away according to the pathology report?

How many of us dieters have retested since starting the gf and otherwise free diet, by the way?

Glad you're able to post again!

Morning Luce,

I also want to know if Polly has had the colonoscopy yet and how the results are.

Also, it would be very interesting to see if going GF has negated the signs of the disease but the way to find out is just one we all want to avoid.

Love, Maggie

Hi there Luce, Mags, and Barb!

Haven't gone yet. I have an appt. with my GI doc in the middle of Nov., at which time I'm sure she'll schedule the colonoscopy. Yuck. But yes, I am hoping that the MC will no longer show up on biopsy. Don't worry......you all will be the first to hear the results. Plus I will need some support from everyone when I am trying to clean myself out.

Thansk so much for thinking of me.

Love,

Polly

Hmm, Polly,

You must have a bathroom with a computer hook-up then! Haha!

Aren't we the noisy ones?!

When I took the visicol prep (which I am sure caused my CC) I ran a 50 ft cat V cable from the modem to the bathroom and dragged a laptop on tv stand into the john... a friend played on line games with me and chatted with me on and off for almost 24 hours.. I was rarely out of the bathroom.. a sign of things to come...LOL

I have now switched to wireless... hope I never need to spend a day in the john again tho:)

Oh Grannyh - that is awful and funny at the same time!

Here's to hoping that you never have to go through THAT again!

Polly, I will not start to worry until November, then. Like we have all been saying the procedure is a snap compared to the clean-out. BEING sick is one thing, but deliberately MAKING yourself sick for approx 24 hours is quite another. THAT takes guts!!!

I will be very interested in the results. And, to tell you the truth, I should get myself in to have one done myself. It's been a while.

Lots of love and N,

If anyone wants me to do another colonoscopy they will just have to wait until I have D so bad I am cleaned out. There is no way I will ever take a prep again! They didn't find any polyps or anything and according the my gastro doc unless I have some other kind of problem don't need them but every 10 years. He said doing colonoscopies is a real money maker for some docs but he doesn't do them but every 10 years unless there is a compelling reason to do it earlier...
