Hi All~~~~
I'm back after months of trial after trial!!! Missed everyone like CRAZY!!Have a question for those of you on Entocort. Is it okay to get the flu vaccine while on Entocort????? I don't need any bad reactions!!!
I want to call my PCP's office today to get in to get one while she still has them..
Thanks All!!!

DEE!

So good to see you again. I have missed you. I am not on Entocort but will toss in my 2 cents anyway. I do not think the flu shot is contraindicated if one is on Entocort. One, because Entocort works mainly in the gut (locally), and two, because the virus in the flu vaccine is killed. Thus, even if you were immunologically suppressed due to steroid, you couldn't get the disease. You might have somewhat less of a response to the vaccine, but it can't give you a case of the flu. What does your doc say?

Love,

Polly
