Hi Mars,

As Liz suggested, the wrist splints can work wonders, sometimes. We use them regularly when stacking bags, which is very hard on wrists. Be sure to try the ones with the metal splints, as they seem to work the best for most purposes. If your wrist bothers you while sleeping, you can wear the splint while sleeping, to help reduce the pain.

Two more suggestions

Hi Mars:

I use Tylenol 1, which are 325mg, but have codeine in them. You can get them over the counter from the pharmacist.

I have arthritic wrist and hand pain and have gotten a lot of relief from magnetic bracelets. I made them myself and even made a watch with a magnetic wristband. You can get the magnet beads on EBay or just check out magnetic bead sites and string them to fit your wrist. Caution - do not use if you have a pacemaker or when you are on the computer.

Hope you get some relief soon.

Love - Momster

I have had it with prescribed pain medications myself. I am chronic so, even when they do work a first, they stop working after a while. I have started using an Arnica Monatana cream that I rub into my hips twice a day. I don't know if it works yet because I haven't tried walking very far this morning, but we shall see. At least the skin around my hips is nice and soft.

Love,

I am a huge fan of accupuncture! That was the only thing that helped the arthritis in my thumbs. BUT.....you have to find someone who knows what they are doing and is very skilled! I was lucky to find someone awesome and very inexpensive since my insurance wouldn't cover it!

Hope you find something that will help you. Chronic pain is the PITTS!

Hugs

Thanks everyone! I bought a wrist splint that is especially made for carpal tunnel. It has the metal splint built in.

I also bought arm band for the tennis elbow. I can't wear this one - itches me to death.

Right now I have decided to use the medication the doctor gave me for nerve pain. I am planning on researching further all of the suggestions you all gave. I scanned through them all but want to check some things further.
