Hi Marg,
Are dairy products a part of your diet? If so, there is a good chance that they might be the cause of (or at least contributing to) your cartilage inflammation.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Lesley,
About a month ago I went to GP complaining of this chest pain, after exam he said it sounds like Chondritis but did send me to A&E they did ECG and blood tests and all were normal, but after my last post I received a letter from hospital to go this Thursday for a 24 hour ECG and then on Friday for a Echocardiogram, I am feeling a bit better now, the pain is not as bad so assuming GP was right about Chondritis, but having said that he could be WRONG, I am glad they are now doing these checks to make sure and put my mind at ease,
Leah, I avoid anything containing soy like the plague, I will let you all know the outcome of the tests .
Thanks Marg.

update re chondritis ??
I had my ECG and Echocardiogram last week but no results as yet, this is how they work here in the UK, unless you go private they wont tell you anything till all tests are complete, unless of course its life threatening, now I get yet another letter saying the consultant wants me to have a Myocardial Perfusion Imaging, I am now waiting for the appointment - I received with the letter a form to fill in with my height, weight, and any medications that I take ect, they tell me the scan is in 2 parts which each will take up to 3 hours , I am now wondering why after all the other tests they haven't told me anything and I am now wondering why I have to have this scan. apart from all this the GF challenge is going great and I feel fine.

Hi , A relative was commenting that he had pain in his joints. I told him to get a Lyme Disease test. He did and tested positive. He was prescribed a strong antibiotic for two weeks. After treatment the joint pain was gone. He was taking a probiotic during the treatment and has continued taking the probiotic. He uses a probiotic by Sedona Labs called I-Flora. Jon
