I asked about whether my GF/SF/df diet would impact the results of testing and here is the response from
enterolab.

Your Question: I was diagnosed with Mic. Colitis in 2/12. I have been gluten free/dairy free/soy free since then and am wondering if that could impact the results of these tests? Do I need to eat gluten and/or dairy before doing the tests? Thanks, Cathy
Response: Dear Cathy, Though it is possibe that you may have decreased a previously elevated Ic antibody count to those foods a little bit since February, please know that it usually takes between 1-2 years on a restricted diet to significantly decrease an Ic antibody count in the stool. We never encourage anyone to begin eating a particular food again prior to testing, which is because there is no concrete rule of thumb that states an individual must eat a particular food XI number of times or days in order to spike an antibody count in the stool. We prefer that you remain on your current diet during the collection process. Sincerely, Phyllis Zermeno, RN, BASIN Clinical Manager
