Jean,
I really have enjoyed the service! You can bring a gsm phone to the service, you may need to check with them if it is compatible.... and they give you a sim card, if you don't want to spend the money for another phone. Also, if you want to save $10.00 on your first bill, tell them I sent you or pm me and I will give you my email or vice versa.

grannyh,
I understand, I have Wifi at home and work, so I just have the phone to push data only on wifi, and I just use the $5.00, 500 message plan-data plan. Which saves a lot on data usage and price.
The good part is that you can share minutes and data-message usage. I am on a shared plan, and I use the 700 minutes and 500 messages, and with taxes it runs about $52-53 dollars.
Joe,
I know this has been a thread killer for you, sorry.

Hi Granny Mickey and Jean it is interesting how many plans are out there that save so much money for your cellular ('mobile' for those outside the US) bill. It seems like every few years the features and cost (if you are careful) can improve. I can remember when we had long distance calls for calling someone in a town just 50 miles away...now with the flat rate billing just being in minutes we can all anywhere in the US and just worry about the minutes we use.
Jenny & Deb what I am thinking of is to find out for those who use the Apple products what if anything do you find harder to do while browsing these PP pages as compared to what the experience would be on a PC. For me one of the simple issues is how it's a bit harder to use the "view more emoticons" page on either the iPad or iPod / iPhone.
For those of you not familiar with the Apple or android devices, these are the smartphones and tablet devices which generally do not have a mouse available and have a smaller screen than the PC usually has. These couple of limitations can make using some of the great features of this site a bit clunky to use. The goal is to make a custom 'viewer' app for this site that would make the experience as convenient as it is on a regular PC.
I have a few other areas that I'm thinking of that might make the PP iPad / iPod usage a bit better, but would like to see what others here thought. If you folks have any suggestions those would be helpful. Remember I am not looking at any changes to the great features this site has, all I'm looking at doing is finding a way to present them and make them more easily accessible on the Apple devices.
A far as the android users...one project at a time. I am fairly good at computer programming languages and will have to teach myself the iOS application language...if all works well, later on I may take on the android market.

I tend to not view a lot of sites from my IPhone due to some of the problems you mentioned, Joe. It would be great if you made that an easier option.
Speaking of cell phones, I remember when my husband got his first one to make things easier in our construction business. It cost us $800 per month!
Somehow, he still believed it saved us money. Now we've got multiple phones with a lot more options for 25% of the cost. Deb
