While I believe that diet changes are the key to remission with fibro and other autoimmune disease, for those unwilling to change their diet (which is probably the vast majority of them), I wonder if those folks ever tried taking an antihistamine?

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

I thought this was a good article. Thanks for posting it.
Darier’s sign – high histamine releases can cause the skin of some people with MCAS to become itchy, swollen and red after its been stroked. (Note that histamine is just one of many substances released by mast cells and it may not always be released in MCAS.)
I have been dealing with itchy bumps on my scalp for several weeks now. I've changed my shampoo and conditioner, eliminated mousse, etc., with no results. I recently changed my pillow, because I wake up in the middle of the night needing to scratch the lower back of my head, which rests on my pillow. I itch the worst in the middle of the night and when I wake up in the morning. It doesn't bother me as much during the day. I don't think I have Darier's sign because this is a recent phenomenon. But could this be Zizzle's problem?

I need to get my script filled for pure diphenhydramine, the active ingredient in Benadryl. I hate to take a sleep aid, even if it is an antihistamine. I've tried all antihistamines, and the only one that worked initially was Benadryl.
