Have missed you all - my crazy life

Post by Stanz »

The last topic I posted here: http://www.perskyfarms.com/phpBB2/viewt ... c&start=15, I said I was going to delete, but in retrospect, I'm glad I didn't, as I really don't care who in my family see's what I said, it was all true.

Anyway, this summer has been a blur. As I said in that thread, I was probably getting divorced. I moved back into what was my rental house in mid July and it's been quite a journey. I love being here in the house I remodeled myself. Nine years of renters, especially the last 2 1/2, took a toll on my yard, but the inside is still lovely and it's so nice to be here and appreciate all my hard work - I did a good job! The yard may yet kill me, but it's nice to be back with my friends/neighbors here.

Glad to see that Tex has published his book and I ordered a copy tonight and look forward to reading it. In spite of all the stress of moving, getting a computer/printer/cable/phone and all the technological stuff working that I'd never had to deal with before, as well as my personal situation, and having house guests for 2 weeks, I'm doing OK. I was ground zero for almost all the dinners for what was a "cousin" reunion for my daughters and their 2 cousins and all their kids, one who came from Russia with her 2 kids. It was really a precious and life changing time for everyone and worth the effort it took to make it so.

I'm doing good and getting back to work and to my life. I love all the new stuff I bought off of Craigslist to furnish this place and make it feel like home again. I've missed being here, I've learned a lot, don't know if I'll get divorced, but I'm moving on, and my MC is still under control. Have a lot of catching up to do here.

Connie,

Wow! You've had quite a summer. I'm glad to hear that your MC has remained under control through all of that— you obviously know what you're doing, and you seem to be in control of the situation (all around). Good for you.

Hopefully you'll have much smoother sailing for a while, now. It's good to see you posting again.

Hi Connie, its good to hear from you and I'm glad that your MC is not flaring up, you certainly have had a stressful number of months. That sounds great that your back in a house that your comfortable in, especially one that you remodeled yourself.

I'm sorry to hear that divorce may be an issue, it certainly can be a stressful time and of course a very emotional one. I can say though it can also open up your life and help you move on especially in situations that are just not reconcilable.

I hope you continue to do well with your MC that all of unsettlement resolves itself in the best way possible

Take care
Joe

Hey Connie!

I've been thinking of you and wondering how things are going. Glad to see you back! Sounds like a very stressful time you've been having, but good news about the MC behaving itself! Do you have any tips for me? My gut seems to be supersensitive to stress. Sigh. Luckily, life has been on an even keel for the past few months, but before that I had several major losses pretty much on top of each other. My MC has recently gone into remission again after a flare that started in May. BTW, did you see that some of us have found MC relief with OTC antihistamines? This was a surprise to me, as I have never had any respiratory or skin allergies. But antihistamine helped my gut get over this last flare. Claritin was helpful, and Zantac even more so.

Anyway, enjoy settling into your house that you remodeled.

Hugs,

Polly

Welcome back, Connie! You had a stressful winter, as I recall, and now have had the additional stress of moving and personal issues. In spite of all that, your MC is behaving - I'm sure that you're grateful for that.

I hope that you can navigate through your personal issues with the comfort that you're doing the right thing.

We will always be here whenever you need us.

Polly, yes I did see the thread about your success with using OTC antihistamines. When Gabes and Joe were first talking about this some months ago I bought Zantac, but haven't been regular in taking it with all that's been going on in my life. I'm so happy that this was another step/answer for you.

I truly am enjoying the peace and quiet of my house and loving seeing my neighbors here again, some of whom I've known for almost 30 years, whose girls I coached in softball back in the late 70's & 80's. The logistics of moving, having company, etc. have been stressful, but fun, the probable loss of my marriage - not so much. But, I'm a survivor and I will get through this. We love each other, we just can't live together apparently. He will remain a friend whatever the outcome, I just needed some peace.

Thank you for your response and thank you, Gloria for yours, never doubted that you guys would be here for me if I needed you and I love your sig line, Gloria. So true.

One of the things I forgot to do in all of this transition was to renew my prescription for Premarin, then they screwed up and sent it to my old address and due to budget cuts, all address changes now go through Seattle, so now I'm 2 wks cold turkey, which hasn't been fun, but HOPEFULLY Monday it will arrive or I will march down the 3 blocks to my Dr.'s office and demand it. Had no idea how much I depended on estrogen until it was depleted. I'm actually having trouble walking, my legs go to sleep if I'm inactive for more than 15 minutes, so I better get up and go now......
