ADD

Post by kate_ce1995 »

Okay all. Here is a questions for you, not specifically MC related, but rather general health and wellbeing related. How many of you feel some level of ADD. Over the last 4-5 years my level of focus has been horrible. It all started when I got quite sick with my endometriosis. I take an antidepressant, which I also wonder if contributes to some of these feelings. I don't want to take medicine, but I feel so scatterbrained sometimes that I'm afraid they won't think I'd doing a good job at work, although so far, my boss says nice things about me.

What do you guys do to help yourselves focus, particularly for 8+ hours in the workplace?

Hi Katy,

I sooo sympathize. Are you sick lately? I'm pretty scatterbrained naturally, but I thought I had Alzheimer's at one point. Depression, fatigue, chronic pain, inflammation, lack of sleep can all cause it. I used to take Sudafed even when I didn't have a runny nose, and it helped. (I was prett desperate) But, can you elaborate? what things might be contributing?

Love, Marsha :bashful:

Boy can I feel what you are saying. I pray alot that the good lord will let me remember my name every day. I take Ginko and lots of vitamins. If anyone has a better Idea besides the games and crossword puzzles and reading that helps fight loss of memory, Let me know. :bear:

I have had several people tell me that this memory, focus thing has happened to them when they have gone on antidepressants. It could be since they do effect the chemicals in your brain.

I have problems with that too....you would know if you had ADD. I work with a woman that has untreated ADD and she can't complete one task before starting another then another...makes mistakes like crazy and rarely gets anything done.
