Does anyone have trouble with white fish?

Post by mzh »

I noticed every time I eat frozen flat fish, like cod or halibut, I get a big belly ache 24 hours later. This is kinda long after eating it, so I wondered if this was typical or even possible. I was thinking it might be a histamine issue but this seems like an over-long reaction time. Plus, some sites say white fish is low in histamine, others say it's high. Such confusion.
Also have sleep apnea

Hi,

I eat white fish every time I have flares, so no, I don't have any problems with it. It even calms my system down. But my reactions could be different than yours.

Maybe this advice could help you: write down everything you eat + when you eat it. Then you write next to it if you had problems with it. Then you can read it after a month and eliminate things that hurt you.

Kind regards and I wish you the best of luck,

Julie
It doesn't matter how many times you fall, but how many times you get up en go for it again. HOPE !!!!

As far as white fish, I only eat Kirkland Tilapia fillets, and no trouble with them.....
Diagnosed with Collagenous Colitis after a 2 month bout of Diarrhea. Confirmed after a biopsy during a colonoscopy.

My main white fish is walleye that we catch and I have never had a problem with it. Deb
