Hi everybody,
I just wanted to give an update: I eliminated gluten, diary products and soy products in my diet. I did this during a flare and the strangest thing happened, my flare just calmed down from one day to another. I feel much better.
My flares usually last 7 to 15 days and now it just calmed down after only 3 days (I started the glutenfree diet on day 2). I even could go to work during my flare. It wasn't that bad as usual. Is this because of the glutenfree diet?
Is it normal to have this reaction after just two days? I wanted to thank everybody who gave me this advice. THANK YOU THANK YOU !!!

It doesn't matter how many times you fall, but how many times you get up en go for it again. HOPE !!!!
Julie,
I found immediate improvement like you but overall the last two years have had there ups and downs. It's hard to not inadvertently eat something detrimental to your gut especially if you have are busy and always on the go.
The good thing is we get better at managing our life and meals and I find it is becoming second nature and easier now.
Best,
Cory

Hi Julie,
Good for you! As Deb said, while some of us see fast results after starting the diet, most of us take much longer, so you are fortunate that it is helping so quickly.
Thanks for posting the good news. I hope you continue to improve.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
