a few questions about stomach flu and LC

Post by Julie »

Hi eveybody,

I think I have the stomach flu because I was feeling better, but yesterday and today, I came in contact with someone who had the stomach flu. So now I have stomach aches, nausea and diarrhea. I don't really know if it's another flare or the stomach flu.

Does the stomach flu last longer for us (LC patients) then for other people? Are the symptoms for the stomach flu worse for LC patients then for other people? Does the stomach flu cause a flare? have to admit that I am afraid of the stomach flu. I hope I won't be sick.

Thanks

Julie

Julie,
I had a stomach virus last fall when I was still fairly sick and on Entocort. It ran the course a virus usually did. A day of feeling horrid, every day a little better as long as I rested and pushed fluids, and slept a lot. I recovered ok.

Thanks for the responses.

How long did it take for you to recover from the stomach flu? It normally lasts 3 days.
