HOME FROM THE SWIM MEET--This U have to read--please

Post by barbaranoela »

It brought a  to my eyes to watch Kait in every event---
At one point she started to cry(us thinking due to the fact that she didnt better her time) but it was cus her head was pounding and she was in pain and didnt wanna finish the swim meet---BUT she did---- and the guy that tutored her came to see the meet---
Whatta a wonderful guy he is---imagine just to come to watch Kait--

Every year they honor the seniors,on the swim teams, who are to graduate and be on their way to other roads in their luves---
They have the lower classmen call their names---they put a tiara on their heads---read a little about them and then give them flowers and put a cape over their shoulders----almost like MISS AMERICA---
It was so lovely----I swore I wouldnt
when they called Kait but--of course I did--and U know who honored Kait??? Kristyns best friend Juliette---who had a bout of bone cancer--along with the Kemo and bone transplant----

It was incredible---and the following is what I wanted U guys to read-

THIS is even more AWESOME--one the seniors, who is not a great swimmer nor a great student is going to HARVARD-- and U know what for?? ---this kid ranks 6th ,thu out the entire USofA, in high school DISCUS competition and during one meet a scout was there and videoed her during a discus throw----he was from HARVARD and this kid is going there on a scholarship---for the talent she has!!!

Hows that for being @ the right place @ the right time!!!

Tomorrow is my day @ the gyno.--U know the words----relax---relax!!!
I have changed Dr.s --am now going to a female ----

And then--hopefully a quiet weekend :band:

Till the *morrow*
keep a smile
happy dreams
luv Barbara

Well shucks, Mrs. Columbo,

I had to wipe more than one tear from my eyes on that one. Besides having quite a story to tell, you're quite a writer, to boot.

Morning Barbara,

I would have bawled if I had been there

I am so proud of Kate and make sure you tell her all of aunties and uncles are too.

I am ungodly busy right now at work and just cannot get here very much but hopefully can return soon. God bless the holidays.

Love, Maggie

How wonderful! And good for her for pushing through the pain. In some ways that may help continue the healing process. How is Kris's friend Juliette doing? Didn't she have a relapse not too long ago. Glad to hear she is out swimming with the team. I remember we had a girl on our swim team who had lost a leg to cancer. But swimming was a sport she was able to de well despite it.

Kudos to Kait. Is this the end of swim season then? Does she participate in other sports? Hee Hee...does she know how many questions we ask about her?

Awwwwwwwwwwww, Sis,

What heartwarming stories! Thanks for sharing them. It is such a treat to be reading about good things happening to Kait. No one is more deserving.

Love,

I agree with Tex, you certainly have a way of writing. I felt like I was right there experiencing it with you!

Kait is one amazing child! She will succeed in whatever she chooses!
