When I asked the question I really wasn't concerned about the safety of using my microwave. My daughter goes to extremes with things and she doesn't use her microwave, hasn't for two years. I heated something in her microwave and my 6 year old grandson got all upset. I have read here that so and so does not use their microwave so I just asked the question. I wanted someone elses opinion besides my daughters. And I always use corning wear dishes for reheating, not plastic.
DH buys a lot of what I call TV dinners (gag me) which come on a black plastic tray that he microwaves. I know this is really not good and yet the manufacturers continue to package them that way.

I use glass for everything I do in the microwave and I do a lot. With working and everything else, time is precious. I have never paid attention to the "scare tactics" concerning microwaves. As Joe stated - it is just waves and that does not bother me.

Thanks Joe. Your explanation should satisfy one and all. Rumors and "warnings" abound on the Internet with the intent to frighten people about things that are unfamiliar to them. It is nice to have experts in so many fields on the Board.
