Tested Swiss Cheese

Post by humbird753 »

Hi everyone,

Yesterday for the first time since last November I tried a half a slice of swiss cheese. I was surprised at the obvious reaction I had to it. Gurgling and unsettled intestines for hours. I felt okay physically, but was somewhat embarrassed since we had an insurance agent at our home last night and my stomach gurgled the whole time. I felt the need to go to the bathroom because of the bloating and gurgling but glad to say I never did need to go.

Well I think this confirms that I am casein intolerant.

Hope everyone else is doing fine here.

Hi Paula,

That was a good test, because it told you what you needed to know, without causing a major reaction.

It doesn't get much better than that.

Thanks for posting that information.

Thank you, Tex.

I couldn't help but wonder why when I get glutened unintentionally, my reaction is nothing like this reaction was. Can symptoms vary with the different intolerances?

Yes, definitely. And they can also vary depending on how long we've been avoiding a particular food.
