Shocker! Enterolab results are in!

Post by wmonique2 »

Well, la di da....

I am, after all, gluten sensitive! Didn't know that! I went GF 8 months ago on my own volition not knowing that I was sensitive. High on that chart, mind you. So with soy. So with walnuts.

The universe felt sorry for me and didn't take my rice away from me, nor did it take corn products (hello tortillas! back on the menu) nor chicken, nor tuna...Good God Almighty, I can still eat something! I am good on dairy, CHEESE is back on the menu. I am doing a pirouette in my living room right now! :yahoo:

I give you all a collective hug!

Dear Monique,

Congratulations on being okay with dairy! It's good to have some definitive answers on things that you are sensitive to, so you can get those out of your diet and keep them out. And also nice to know that some things are safe. I love your emoticon!

CHEESE.....beautiful cheese. Maybe some decidedly unhealthy but legal sour cream dip and chips....wow! Are you lucky. Congratulations. I am jealous.

Monique,

 I'll add my congratulations on you being one of the few here who can tolerate casein. Enjoy!

Love,

Glad you can add some foods back Monique. My results showed me to be reactive to the big four plus a bunch of other things. It made me wonder if the Enterolab test over-identified people, that is found antibodies in almost everyone, so when someone like you has a test result which eliminates some foods as not being problematic it gives me more confidence that the test is sensitive enough to trust. I do miss cheese and yogurt but I don't miss the consequences of eating them.

Enjoy,
Jean

Enjoy a feast Monique! It's funny how delighted we all are. Any "Normie" person would think we were crazy - doing pirouettes over cheese and corn tortillas!

You lucky duck!! Care to share your numbers on the gluten and soy test? How low were you for milk and eggs? I was 5 for eggs back then, and also tested non-reactive to them on MRT, thank goodness!

Jean, they're not over-reactive judging from my results. I was stunned to find I was only 11 on gluten, 9 on dairy, and so low on eggs and soy I didn't bother to remember them.

Congratulations, Monique!!! As like everyone else who is intolerant to casein - ADD ME TO YOUR LIST OF WHO YOU'LL BE EATING CHEESE FOR! Great news for you.

I don't know why (exactly) but I haven't had Enterlob testing done yet. I fear the results (like most or all of us do). But then again, I am overly careful of what I do eat, and maybe I don't need some of the restrictions I'm placing on myself - and also I may be eating things I shouldn't. This is encouraging. I may soon do this myself.

Now that you know what you can eat - ENJOY! And hope you feel better soon.
