Terri- I'm not laughing at you but hahahaha!! Your comments started my morning out with a smile. I've found ricola drops to become my substitute for dessert. I think just having something that the mind considers a "treat" helps with the general feeling of well being.

Good luck to you & I hope getting off pepto is a smooth transition.

Glad I could put a smile on your face! Sometimes we just have to laugh at it all just to cope. I've never heard of Ricola drops.

Yes, Good luck to us all!!!! Keep us updated on the Betaine. I am currently suffering from heartburn as I pigged out on red meat last night. Ugh! Bring on the Pepto....lol!

Hope you have a great weekend.

Now that I am paying attention to it, I am a shallow breather too. Never thought much of it. I find I also hold my breath unintenionally when feeling sick.

Terri, FWIW - the betaine helps digest protein better. The instructions on my bottle say to use it with protein meals and not with salads and fruits.

@ Marcia....thanks...been thinking about taking it but waiting to talk to doctor as I have a little bit of Gastritis in my lower stomach and want to make sure Betaine won't aggravate it.

I always liked their commercials. I like the mixed fruit. Now that I read the label it does have citric acid and "natural flavors" in it. Maybe I need to rethink using them.
