Hello All

Post by Joefnh »

Hello to all and thanks for all the birthday wishes. I need to catch up with a bunch of posts from this week. It was a quiet week and overall I'm feeling pretty well. I believe the Humira is coming up to strength and I am feeling better all around. I'm sill looking forward to the spinal injections which will help the mechanical issues with the spine, but overall I'm resting better, have less brain fog and almost no perceivable MC symptoms.

As far as this weekend, my water heater decided to contribute to my birthday by 'sharing' its contents with my cellar floor....how generous  Well at least I'm a pretty good DIY plumber so as of this afternoon that's all cleaned up and a new high end model is installed and actually working

I do have a few pretty good photos from a trip to a local lake and nature preserve for a walk and some photos last weekend. It was a perfect cool crisp autumn day, so they came out pretty good.

I hope you enjoy them.

Of note does anyone here know what type of flowering bush that the butterfly photo was taken with...

You certainly are a gifted photographer Joe. Beautiful pictures. I love the ones of your dog.

Super photos, Joe, but I don't have the foggiest idea what that plant might be. :headscratch:

Beautiful pictures, Joe! Breathtaking!

I've never been to New Hampshire. I have a friend who was born and raised there but moved to the midwest in her 30's. She always talked about how beautiful it was out there. Now I see she's right.

Hi Joe!

I think the plant is a butterfly bush (buddleia). Apropriately named!

Great photos!

Love,

Polly

Joe,

What a treat to wake up and see these photos:) The gorgeous fall colors instantly made me homesick. I love autumn in the northeast. Thanks for sharing.

Joe,
Those photos are so beautiful and I agree with Polly. I think it's a butterfly bush. Nestle sure knows how to pose for photos. Every girl dreams of being a model. She's ready for the runway.

Happy belated birthday. I haven't been on for a fews days and missed it.

I am hoping we can get out to see the foliage, it's peak here mid Oct., so we should be able to.

So glad the medication is working - sounds like your on your way to feeling good again.

Gorgeous pictures, Joe. Thanks so much for sharing them.

I'm looking forward to seeing some of that beauty when I am in NH for my nephew's wedding next weekend.

Thanks everyone I'm glad you liked them. The reason I asked about this bush is that the few times I have seen it here in NH it always seems to have butterflies and hummingbirds around it. I was wondering if I should plant one at my house, but needed to know the name to see if a plant nursery had any.

Nancy how are you and Ted doing, I hope Ted is continuing to feel better after his surgery.

Martha the foliage is just beginning to change this weekend, last weekend when I took those photos I had to really go and find a tree that the leaves were changing on. You can see this on the couple of lake photos, the trees in the background are all green. By next weekend I would expect the foliage to be quite a bit better, I just hope the weather improves, its been raining here for the last 3 days and a good part of this week it looks like it will be cloudy, hopefully that's a sign that it will be 'due' to clear up for your visit Martha.

Martha this lake is only about a 10 minute drive from where your hotel is for your visit next weekend, if you and yours are interested, we could go there as it will be quite colorful by next weekend. That's of course if your hectic schedule with family allows. All the best for your trip and for the wedding and congratulations to your son! Please feel free to call if I can help you out in any way. I'll PM you my phone number.

Ted is feeling better every day. He will see the surgeon on Tues. and he should remove the stitches. I have to say that yesterday he really looked like himself for the first time.

I bought a small butterfly bush in Aug. and didn't have a chance to plant it. I had it out of the back deck and butterflies were all over it. I'm hoping the plant survives the winter so I can plant it in the ground in the Spring.
