yay, potatoes!
Yay, I think I have white potatoes back! I have been staying away from all nightshades, but I tried a dinner last night of pork ribs ( balsalmic glaze) and roasted potatoes and I was fine.
Yay! I might try eggplant next.

PS I was in a bind, on the road with little food options when I decided to try one of Taco Bell's new rice bowls. I ordered it with no Pico de gillo or corn salsa, but the rest was good and I was Ok. It has rice, chicken, black beans, lettuce, and guacamole.

Are you peeling the potatoes? Apparently the skins are the worst part for us...not just the fiber...the leaky-gut causing antinutrients.
I have not stepped foot in a Taco Bell since high school. It just scares me. I do go to the other mexican chains when I'm on the road...Chipotle, Moe's, QDoba. Chipotle is by far the safest. Of course I always pay a small price for the beans and salsa, but it's soo good!

Terri, I have tried a big salad again and I paid a "small price" ( as Zizzle would say) for it. Things were just a bit soft the next day, but sometimes it's just worth it :)
Zizzle, the potatoes were roasted yukon with the peel. At home I usually use red with the skin. I seem to be ok with them. I don't even like the skin of a baked russet potato, so I don't think that will be a factor.

Great new Leah!
One of the things I can tolerate - even though I am really nightshade intolerant - is white potatoes, with or without skins except for the skins on russet like you. Eggplant is the worst for me but hope it works for you.
Salads seem to be working OK but I know that the next day will be much softer at the Loo.
Love, Maggie
