Gluten free labeling standards petition

Hey guys!

I thought this might be something you would all be interested in since the majority of us are gluten free, but here's a petition for congress to pass a law to finalize gluten free labeling standards so we will actually know what "gluten free" is and all gluten will be listed as an ingredient. Hi Amber.....this topic came in last Wed Oct 3rd as well. See some of that feedback. Tex is probably right but it wont hurt to try it.

Wow I just reviewed the petition again and there is still over 20,000 signatures needed. I'd love to see this happen but I don't know whether they will even get enough signatures for it to happen. All we can do is try right!?!?!?!
It would sure help us newbies to GF if labels were more specific for sure.
I signed it last week and am keeping my fingers crossed.

I signed it last week but thanks for posting and keeping it current. Yes, we newbies have a high rate of accidental glutenization. I was doing really well until this past week when I had 3 accidents alone, setting off hideously painful headaches each time. Darn these secret labels!
