belly problems

Post by Cincygirl »

I know this probably sounds like a dumb question, but with having LC, and then getting some kind of a mild stomach bug, would your symptoms get worse? Such as the diarrhea? Gas? I'm not sure what I caught, but for the last few days, i've had nausea, headaches, weakness. Then the LC symptoms kicked in more than usual. Also, a quick update, i have been on the steroids, for 2 months, do they normally take longer to see results? I see a little improvement, but it seems to be back and forth as far as progressing for the better.

Thanks,
Linda

Linda,

I think most of us are more sensitive to any illness, especially when we are in remission. I didn't use steroids, I think most people here have at one time or another. Saw this today, which I thought was interesting: http://www.healthnowmedical.com/blog/20 ... ing-drugs/

Have you tried eliminating gluten?

What steroid are you taking? Entocort? It usually works fairly quickly- especially if you have changed your diet. Have you gone gluten free? Dairy? Temporarily taken raw fruits and veggies out? Coffee? There aare many things that could be putting your healing off.

Hope you feel better soon,

Leah

Linda, I had been in remission for about a year and a half and got an intestinal bug which triggered another flare of my MC. Deb
