so excited to meet Zizzle ( Vera)
I am meeting Vera ( Zizzle) tomorrow in San Francisco tomorrow! I can't wait. It should be interesting trying to find something for us to eat :) I think she will still be in town when the city goes crazy and has a parade for the Giants this week. That should be fun.

We had a very nice time chatting today. She's great. She took a picture of us and when she has time I am sure she will post it. It was kind of funny trying to find something to eat, but we settled on the San Francisco Soup Company. It posts gluten and dairy... and then we ordered and shared a salad with things in it we both can eat. The time flew by and before we knew it, she needed to go back to work. We probably were together about 2 hours.
Thanks Maggie. Winning the World Series is great. I think the parade is going to be on Wednesday. It will be too crazy for me to go check out, but I'm happy for all the fans.

Hi everyone!
I'm finally home from my trip and have no Internet access yet, so I'm writing from my phone. We had a huge tree fall across our street taking out all wires and 2 phone polls. Luckily it blocked the road (and we're a schoolbus route) so crews came quickly. Power is back at home and crews are re-hanging wires now. Kids had school yesterday and Halloween, so life is back to normal here in Northern VA. We were lucky here. Only the usual low-lying areas had flooding.
Meeting Leah was great fun. It's funny how Potty PeoPle aren't strangers at the outset. So much in common! We tried to take a pic on my phone...leah, not sure ill post it, but YOU look great in it! The soup and salad place was good because we could agree on each topping added to the salad we shared. Plus she and I have roughly the same intolerances.
The food in San Fran was not as gluten-friendly as I expected. They like their bread and breakfast pastries there! I thought I'd find fresh smoothie makers on every corner. Had several good restaurant dinners, and servers understood my issues.
I spent a night with my aunt and uncle in Berkley who are GF/DF and sugar free. They packed me a lunch for my adventurous day riding the BART trains into and out of the Giants World Series parade next to my conference.
Some bad news is that my rash has spread more on my back, hips and arms, and seems to be aggravated immediately after eating certain foods (potatoes seems to be one). I need to see my dermatologist soon to get more answers. I'm taking Claritin daily and using Clobetasol steroid cream, yet the rash marches on. Sigh.
