Daughter seen the baby yesterday, its little but well

Post by Wendy »

Evening everyone. I am off to never never land now, but just wanted to drop by and tell you the latest about Amanda's pregnancy, she is now 12 weeks as of today. She has a bad cold right now, so she didn't get to come meet me and her sister for our little get together yesterday for my BD, mainly because I didn't want her to tire herself out and so told her to go and get the ultrasound, (we now have an picture of the baby) then goes straight home and rest. We can always do something later on. IT was really nice to then spend the day with my baby Nathania (aka Mel), but me and her and lunch. Went to a big Chinese, Japanese buffet for lunch. Food is always great there, but we didn't over due it. Then we went browsing at a plce called Winners, that you can get anything at. I haver not had a woman shopping with me in years, so this is nice. And She also loves to have me there. Even though she is my duaghter, we have always had a link and she listenes to my ideas. In fact its me who ends up finding the truly unique outfits that she always ends up loving. In the end she ended up with only the orange plaid hat with a little buckle on it, but I bought that for her, and I ended up getting some cute jammies, and she bought them for me. But we did go through everything with there though, at least that is what my back said.

The other things that Nathania ended up buying with sooo much excitement were some actual glass dinner plates and bowls. But they always have to be unique, and these were unique in the way that they were like baked stone ware, and square, with chinese lettering on them. Last Christmas I started her up by buying her a cute sushi set of dishes. This also marks the event in time of my daughter growing up and getting more and more mature. She wants actual glass plates to eat on. Ha Ha Ha, Before she went to College I had bought her a whole bunch of outside dishes that they sell off at the end of summer, in really cool colours and shapes. Hippy ish type stuff, even got matching bath towels in really loud colours made up of flowers.

Had a really nice day though, and Amanda and I will do it another day, as we didn't get to go out for her BD either, but we are all for making it simple, our gifts to each other are time. She doesn't have allot of it, so it is a gift that I love, and when that grand baby comes I am going to want much more of it Ha ha

Well night night to everyone, I am falling asleep right now, so its time

Gentle Hugs

P.S. Good news about the baby. Twelve weeks is a milestone.....now it's onto the second trimester.
Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.

Thanks goils. I did have a great day. Always do when I spend the time with them. We have always had a great relationship, Even when they were little. When people talk about screaming matches and things with their kids, I don't know how to relate. It just never happened with us. That is why I found it so hard living with my brother and my niece, when she would take her tantrums. I really feel blesses with my girls, and so thankful. Even though I don't practice anymore, I do feel bringing them up with religion, and to show respect for others as well as many other things, did them well into their adult life. It never does a child wrong to teach them to share, and the value of a dollar. I think that making them always save half of what they wanted before they could have it, taught them to appreciate how long you have to work for something. I also think taking them shopping with me and teaching them how to bargain hunt has done them well too! Its funny how when we go out now, they look around to see if there are any bargain sections. Even so they look for at least a little bit of a sale, to make the money stretch. And my Nathania, (Mel) she is known for dressing unique. But if someone else put on the same thing, it just wouldn't work. Even as a kid, I would be searching for the matching mitten, and she would find another colour, and she would say she didn't care, all they were for was to keep her hands warm. And at school it caught on, other kids, would do the same, the only thing is they would feel aukward (sp) doing it, she never did. And growing up always feeling out of place, like I never fit it, I just admired the heck out of her for that.
I have been worrying about being able to do any of this for much longer, I just can't walk or stand for long, and after going out with her for the afternoon, I could barely move yesterday. I still had to go for groceries though, and by the time I was done, my brother had to take most of it in for me. Everytime I moved a certain way, the pain just shot through my back and legs. I keep thinking back to when I fell and was paralyzed and wonder if they are not missing something. And then besides the fibro, my hands, knees and feet are swelling, very painful to use. I know that I need to get out for walks or some form of excercise, but can't. To top it all off, my bowels are not behaving right either. Even my eyes are swelling again, drives me crazy at night with the pain. My bedside table looks like a pharmacy, eye drops, cough drops, liniment, etc. Just so that I can fall asleep and stay asleep for the night.

Well enough of my whining for today. I have to look at what fun I did have when I went out. The girls, Beth and Nathania (Mel) wanted me to go out for Halloween to a drag show, and to dress up. Well that is out of the question now. I won't be giving out any candy this year either, just can't. There is always next year.

Thanks for the birthday wishes, I keep it pretty low keyed, I didn't want any presents from the girls either, just time. My brother ignored my wishes, and am kinda happy about that, as he bought me a computer case for my laptop. Hooray, I love it. Was looking for one the night before. He got it on EBAY, where you can always find a deal if you are looking.

Anyhooo,

Gentle hugs
Wendy

Hi Wendy,

Happy belated birthday!

Incidentally, the reason why your birthday was overlooked on the board, is because it was never added to the list in the birthday room. If you will add the date in the birthday room, we won't miss it next year.

Thanks,
Wayne
