Hope :-)

Post by jessica329 »

Today I met with my GI and we talked about weaning off the Entocort and starting Mesalamine. I brought up about my reactions the day after I eat bread/gluten (the typical MC symptoms of D, nausea, fatigue), told him I chose to cut it out of my diet (which eliminated my symptoms) and asked about the Enterolab testing. When asked his professional opinion, he said, if it makes you feel better and you can stick to it then by all means-the goal is remission. So my fellow forum friends, have hope because there are wonderful doctors out there that will answer all your questions, work with you, really know their stuff and remission can be achieved! Now hopefully I STAY in remission, lol.

Great! It's nice to hear of a doctor who doesn't just dismiss diet out of hand as a treatment for MC.
