Hello all,
Doctor said that I bruised my spine and still have swelling along with a "whiplash" like injury - I need to use warm, wet compresses 3 times per day until I feel better and exercise the neck.
Knee - sprained/strained the ligiments behind the kneecap - must wear a wrap on it for 2 weeks, use a warm, wet compress, elevate the knee (at which time I can remove the wrap).
I was given Darvecet for the pain and told to use an anti-inflamatory (yikes!!! - but I have been and no problem) for the swelling. Can't take the Darvecet for the pain at work so I am going to have to wait until I am home. I should be good and sore by that time!
I am able to wait on the carpal tunnel surgery - I do have it in my right wrist but the elbow is the worst. I am border-line for the surgery so I will be re-elvaluated in 8 months. I am to wear a brace that they recommend for "tennis elbow" until that time if it bothers me and continue wearing the hand splint at night. sigh
That's the report for the day - BTW - Man.........is my head HEAVY!!!! LOL

Doctor checkup report
"Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful." -- Buddha
Hi Mars,
Well, at least nothing is broken. Hopefully the sprains, and bruises, will heal fairly quickly. Then, all you'll have to contend with will be the carpel tunnel problem. Sigh.
Here's hoping that the pain stays at minimal levels.
Hugs,
Wayne

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Hi Margie. Boy oh boy do I feel for you! It was two years ago tomorrow that I tripped over the Halloween decorations box and sprained my left ankle. I'd have probably healed more quickly if I'd broken it! Anyway, I'm glad your fall wasn't worse than it was. Try to take it easy (I know - that's easy for me to say!) and feel better soon!!!
Love,
Carrie
