One good thing, and another question...

I have been on them for a veyr long time. They are the only pain reliever I have left. I have had reflex for longer than I have been on them, so I didn't look for those side effects.
Right now I have awful pain, but haven't yet taken my meds. I am beginning to be terrified of taking them. The 1/2 1 hour after is SO miserable.
How much do I need to add of what to bring my B complex to the right strength> I am SO bad at figuring this out.

B-2 1.7 mgs
Niacin (B-3) 2- mgs
Vit B6 2 mgs
Vit B12 1200 mgs
Pantothenic Acid (B-5) 3- mgs
Any advice on what I should add to this? I don't want to buy too much stuff. My supplements cost a lot as it is. I have quite a lot of this.
From what I can see you need to add vitamin b9 (Folate) since your supplement does not contain any.
You need 33mgs of B6 since your supplement contains 3mgs
You need 800 more mgs of b12
This will then match Tex's Metanx. This does not take into account the issue of what form of each of these vitamins you need since some forms are more absorbable than other. I like Thorne supplements and Pure encapsulations since they don't add a lot of fillers but they can be pricey.
Here's a link to them:

You can order them at Amazon and IHerb too. There are of course lots of other brands. I find this gets pretty confusing and it is hard to know what to do to maximize potential results while avoiding toxicity.

Lesley,
Pamelor (nortriptyline) is not an analgesic — it's a second-generation tricyclic antidepressant. Antidepressants are often prescribed to MC patients because of their common side effect of constipation. If I had known you were taking this drug, I would have pointed that out much earlier. Only time will tell, but there is a very good chance that it may well be the primary reason why you are unable to break out of your persistent cycle of constipation. Drugs are the leading cause of motility issues.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
