Hi Sandra, I noticed the same problem after the use of antibiotics before and after any dental work. My PCP suspected a mitral value prolapse and then the cause was thought to be caused by bacteria from the mouth that gets into the blood during dental work. I had two echo-cadigrams that were both negative for a prolapse. But every time it was two days of antibiotic before and four days after any dental work. Today, it is 2000mgs one hour before and the lastest research shows that there maybe no benefit from pre-antibiotic treatment. After having a few dental visits in a year that is when the G.I issues started. I am gluten, sugar and diary free. Today following a g-f diet is very easy as compared to ten years ago when I went g-f. Jon
