You can KEEP that weather Jill!

I think we might be in our "Indian Summer" here - in the 60's today and will stay fairly warm through the weekend.

SNOW, oh my goodness wow! I keep thinking thats a ways from now, but it really isn't. Its November already. We are still getting nice weather here too. Today was around the high 50's or so. I am trying to convert my celsius into farenheit, but that sounds about right. I take it that is a picture of the roads where you live??? I really don't look forward to winter I'm afraid, well not real cold weather anyway. I do like it when there is snow, but the weather is mild enough to enjoy. I keep thinking of the kind of winters we had when I lived in Northern Ontario, Canada, now that was cold. I swear the snow banks got to be about 15 feet high in my front yard by the end of the season, but then we did have the occasional mild winter with less snow then places like Boston and other places in the States. Which I found weird, since you always think that anywhere thats closer to the equater then you are, is going to be much better weather wise.

From what I see in the picture it looks like you just might get that snow day. Hope you do.

Gentle hugs
Wendy

Hi Wendy!

The picture I posted is of Snoqualmie Pass....it's elevation is 3,000 feet or so...and is an hour and 15 mins from where I live. (Tacoma is at sea level.) Snoqualmie Pass is where I go skiing every year. I'm excited because this is very early to be getting so much snow up there. They haven't announced when the ski area will open, but Crystal Mountain which is closer to Mount Rainier, opened today or maybe it's tomorrow. It is the earliest it has opened in 3 decades! We had hardly any snow last year, so this is a blessing. I hope this isn't a false start! It is rainy here in Tacoma and more storm fronts are on the way. It is in the upper 40's here, so no chance of snow yet....If we get snow, it usually comes later, but once we had a blizzard over Thanksgiving weekend...that was very unusual and once in a blue moon, we have a white Christmas.

I am excited that it might be a cold and snowy winter.
