Gabes,
Thanks for your amazing post. You have a remarkable spirit. I'm still researching -- the alternative felt like giving up to soon for me -- and research gives me some sense of hope that I'm different than the statistics for my diagnosis. I don't fit any mold that the docs are looking for, which makes me seek for more clues.

One thing I do know -- oral health is tied to virtually every other aspect of our health. I work with many dentistry educators, and they are convinved they have a huge role to play in parimary care, finding diasease markers, and keeping people healthy.

I wish you the best on your dental surgery!

Thank you everyone for your replies – I truly appreciate all the hugs, support and love, and prayers.
And tex I am a bit chuffed to be a called a diamond, thank you….

Maggie, it is on my bucket list to get to the USA and meet all you wonderful people!!!
Cory, sorry you are enduring another storm. I hope it passes soon with minimal impact.

Tex/Cory – The renal specialist and I have agreed to hold off doing a biopsy. Things are stable with the kidney (ie it is not getting worse) and the meds have got the BP under control, I am on monthly blood tests to monitor function and we will review again in 4 months.
My instinct tells me that my wholistic treatment approach to detoxing (see paragraph below to Zizzle) is what set the kidney into a freaky wild summer storm event. My body was telling me it couldn’t handle it. A bit like how things like doxy or other medications/events can kick start the MC, my actions with the detox kick started another weakness in my body the kidney.
Albeit I haven’t shared the detox theory with the specialist.

Zizzle, I too have done quite a bit of research on heavy metals, additionally I had investigated all the ingredients of the chemicals that my parents and grandparent had contact with and passed to me. I was having chiro/kinesiology treatments to detox the heavy metals/chemical ingredients out. I suspect the rate of the treatments and detox was too much and caused the kidney to into overdrive and triggered the BP/kidney issues. Which is part of why I am taking the softly softly catchee monkey approach.
And totally agree about oral health and teeth, which is why I have chosen to have this tooth done now while I have the available time to heal post procedure, rather than wait until it becomes an issue and the mouth is in greater distress.

Jean – I have had quite a few lightbulb moments these past months thanks to all the reading/podcast listening I have been doing. The dots are connecting so to speak. My mind, heart and soul are more aligned and have reached a fantastic spot along the path that is lifes journey. It is refreshing not to be seeking a solution, moreso to be just living and enjoy that and being fulfilled. The photography has been an amazing part of this, unexpected and unplanned beauty seems to appear ready for me to capture.

Gabes, dear,

What a wise and inspiring post - both words and photos. Those 3 shots happen to be my favorites from all you haved shared.

You know you have all of my empathy with regard to your dental work. Will keep fingers and toes crossed that all goes well without affecting the MC. And I will be sending positive/healing thoughts to you with regard to your BP/kidney issues.

Please add this post in the "Success Stories" forum.

Much love,

Polly

Gabes,

I'm sorry that you're having surgery so close to the holidays. I hope you recover quickly and can still enjoy some festivities.

As usual, you have beautifully stated a proper frame of mind when dealing with MC and many other physical ailments. Like Maggie and you, I have a more resigned attitude and try to be grateful for the positive things in my life. I believe that we are given trials for a reason and we need to learn as much as we can from them. It makes more sense to look at a trial as a learning experience.

I hope you enjoy the holidays and are able to relax and recuperate.

Dear Gabes,

That's a beautiful post. I'm sorry you are going through such a rough time. I hope the surgery goes well, and you get to feel better soon.

Your comment that you are what you are, damage and all, is a reminder to me that I do the best that I can with my dietary limitations, but I need to accept that I am who I am, and my body is what it is.

Love,
Martha
