Turkey Tenderloins (Grilled) Grilled Asparagus

Note: This is one of Dee's recipes. It was transferred from Dee's Blog.

1/4 cup canola oil
1/4 cup "mock" soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried marjoram
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
2 turkey breast tenderloins (6 ounces each)

In a small bowl, combine the oil, soy sauce, basil, marjoram and thyme.
Pour 1/3 cup into a large resealable plastic bag & add turkey.
Seal bag and turn to coat.
Refrigerate for up to 4 hours.
Cover and refrigerate remaining marinade for basting.

Coat grill rack with cooking spray before starting the grill.
Drain and discard marinade.
Grill turkey, covered, over medium heat for 12-14 minutes or until a meat thermometer reads 170°.
Turn twice and baste occasionally with reserved marinade

Asparagus
Clean asparagus & snap off ends
Toss in:
1 Tbsp sesame oil
salt/pepper to taste
Place on grill for 6-8 minutes.

OK is your "grill" what I would call a Bar-b-que? And while I am at it is "broiling" in the oven? US vs European confusion!!! I am OK on cups because my sister, who lived in America for years, gave me a set and I also have a measuring jug which does American measures! I just need to get my around the above!!!

Hi Anne,

Yes, a grill is also known as a barbeque. Broiling refers to cooking in an oven that uses a heating element above the food, rather than below the food.
